Threading removes hair. Shaping decides which hair. This appointment starts with measuring three points against your own bone structure, and you approve the plan on your own face before anything is taken off.
Brows are the treatment people genuinely worry about, and the fear is always the same. Too much taken, no way back, months of waiting. So we remove that risk at the start rather than asking you to trust us.
Three points are measured and marked in white pencil on your own face. You look in the mirror, you say yes or you ask for changes, and only then does the thread come out. Nothing is removed on a guess.
Marked In White Pencil, Then Shown To You
These are two different appointments and booking the wrong one is the most common mistake people make on this page. Threading is maintenance. It clears regrowth and keeps the shape you already have, in fifteen minutes, for twenty five dollars.
Shaping is design. It decides where the brow should start, where it should peak and where it should finish, based on measurements taken from your own face. It takes thirty minutes because the measuring, the marking and the conversation take time, and the threading itself is the quick part.
You book shaping once, when the shape needs changing or rebuilding. Then you book threading every four to five weeks to maintain what was designed. Most people only need shaping again if they let it grow out completely or decide to change direction.
Threading answers how much. Mapping answers where.
Every brow has three landmarks, and all three are found from the same fixed reference point on your face rather than from a shape somebody saw online. A thread or a mapping pencil is laid along each line and the point is marked where it crosses the brow.
It takes about four minutes, it is included free in every shaping appointment, and it is the entire difference between brows that suit your face and brows that follow whatever is trending. It is also the only reliable protection against ending up with them too thin.
A vertical line from the outer edge of the nostril up to the brow. Starting further in than this narrows the face and creates the severe look people describe as harsh without knowing why.
A line from the nostril through the outer edge of the iris. This point does most of the work. Placed too far in it reads surprised, too far out and it drags the eye downward.
A diagonal from the nostril past the outer corner of the eye. A tail finishing short of this ages the eye, and a tail dropping below the level of the start does exactly the same.
Seven stages in thirty minutes. Only two of them involve removing hair, which tells you where the value in this appointment actually is.
What you like about your brows now and what you do not. Whether you fill them in daily, and with what. Whether you are growing anything out. This shapes the plan more than anything we can see.
Makeup removed from the brow area so we can see the real hair line rather than the drawn one, then the natural growth pattern assessed. Sparse areas are noted before anything is planned.
Start, arch and tail measured from the nostril and marked in white pencil on both sides. Four minutes, included free, and it is the stage that decides everything after it.
Mirror in hand, you look at the map on your own face. Say yes and we proceed. Ask for a softer arch or a longer tail and we remark it. Nothing is removed until you have agreed.
Underneath, above, then between. Both brows worked to one agreed shape. Hairs that fall inside the map stay, even the awkward ones, because they are holding the shape together.
Long hairs trimmed to length rather than pulled out, then brushed up and through. This is what separates a designed brow from one that has simply been cleared.
Cool compress and calming serum, then a hand mirror in natural light. Pinkness settles in twenty to thirty minutes and any final adjustment happens before you stand up.
Six shapes and the effect each one has. Your bone structure and your existing density decide which are genuinely available to you, and the mapping settles that in four minutes.
A gentle rise with no hard peak. The most versatile shape and the one that suits the widest range of faces, which is why it is where we start unless you want something specific.
A defined peak that lifts and opens the eye. Effective on rounder faces and completely unforgiving if overdone, since a peak placed too far inward reads permanently surprised.
A continuous curve with no angle at all. Softens strong or angular features, and works particularly well when the face already has plenty of definition elsewhere.
Minimal arch, running almost horizontally. Reads youthful and open, and visually shortens a longer face. It needs real density to hold, so it is not available to everyone.
A clear directional change at the arch rather than a curve. Structured and modern, and it needs precise mapping because the angle itself is the whole feature.
Texture rather than outline, with hairs set upward and the edges left soft. Fuller looking without being darker, and usually the answer for people who dislike a drawn on look.
Mapping and shaping are the foundation. Tint, henna and lamination all build on top of it, and booking them together costs less than two separate appointments.
Mapping, approval, threading to the plan, trimming and finishing. The full design appointment on its own, with nothing chemical involved, so it can be booked the same day.
Shaping plus a semi permanent tint that darkens the fine hairs most people cannot see. Brows read noticeably fuller without a single hair being added. Lasts three to four weeks.
Henna stains the skin beneath the brow as well as the hair, so sparse patches read as filled in rather than empty. Up to two weeks on skin and six on hair. The best option for genuinely gappy brows.
Lamination straightens the hairs and sets them upward, so coarse or downward growing brows sit where you want them and existing hair can be redirected across thin areas. Holds six to eight weeks.
This is the most common reason people book a shaping appointment, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales pitch. Brow hair runs on a growth cycle of roughly four to seven months, with only about a month of that spent actively growing. That is why brows come back so much more slowly than the hair on your head.
Realistically, three to six months of leaving them alone will bring back most of what is coming back. And there is a harder truth underneath that. Follicles plucked repeatedly over many years sometimes stop producing altogether, and no serum, oil or treatment restarts them. We will tell you which parts of your brow are likely to fill in and which are not.
What thirty minutes and thirty five dollars buys you that a fifteen minute tidy cannot.
Marked in white pencil on your own face and approved in a mirror before a hair is removed. The fear that comes with brow appointments is removed at the start rather than managed at the end.
Four minutes, included in every shaping appointment, never charged as a separate consultation. It is the stage that decides the result, so charging for it separately would be absurd.
Threaded to a single agreed map rather than one being corrected against the other. That correction loop is the single most common cause of brows ending up too thin.
Threading only. Wax lifts surface skin, which is a genuine problem on retinoids or sensitive skin, and it removes far more than a designed shape usually needs.
If your brows need six months of growing out, we say six months. If some follicles are not coming back, we say that too, rather than booking you a course of appointments.
Shaping is a one off. After it, threading at twenty five dollars every four to five weeks keeps the shape. You are not committing to a thirty five dollar appointment forever.
Often Booked Together
Six things clients describe about a shaping appointment somewhere else. Every one of them is avoidable and every one of them takes months to recover from.
The thread starts at the tail with no plan and no measurement. The shape emerges from whatever gets removed, which means it was never designed, only arrived at.
Here InsteadThree points measured from a fixed reference on your face, marked, and approved by you before anything is removed. One brow sits higher naturally, so hair comes off the other to match. Then the first needs correcting again. Two or three rounds of this and there is very little brow left.
Here InsteadBrows treated as sisters rather than twins, worked with your bone structure instead of forced into a match that will not hold. The single most common mapping error. An arch that sits inward of the outer iris line makes the face read permanently startled, and it takes months of growing out to undo.
Here InsteadThe arch is found on a measured line from the nostril through the outer edge of the iris, every time.Whatever brow is currently everywhere, applied regardless of bone structure or density. It suits a few people by accident and ages a great many others.
Here InsteadThe map comes from your face, so the shape is yours rather than this season's.Someone arrives with sparse brows asking for help and leaves with less. Tidying strays feels like progress and it is the exact opposite of what a recovery plan needs.
Here InsteadLonger gaps between visits, only what falls clearly outside the map removed, and color used to bridge while hair grows.Brows look considerably better under warm salon lighting than in daylight. Plenty of people are happy in the chair and unhappy the moment they reach the car park.
Here InsteadA hand mirror in natural light before you stand up, with any final adjustment made there and then. Two weeks of growth minimum. If you have plucked recently there may not be enough there to map properly, and we would rather rebook you than design around missing hair.
We can only remove hair, never add it. Moving toward a fuller shape means growing into it across several appointments rather than achieving it in one.
Any color needs a patch test forty eight hours ahead. Shaping on its own can be booked same day, so mention the tint when you enquire.
Years of plucking can permanently retire a follicle. Color, henna and lamination genuinely help, but we will not promise regrowth that is not coming.
Starting prices including the consultation, the free mapping, the trim, the compress and the daylight check. Nothing is added at the desk that was not agreed when you booked.

The preparation for shaping matters far more than for threading, because the map can only be drawn using hair that is actually there.
You can request anyone by name when you book. If they are unavailable on your date we will tell you rather than quietly reassign you.
Rania handles all the shaping, mapping, lamination and henna work. She is unusually strict about the mapping stage and completely unmoved by requests to take more off, which is exactly what you want in the person holding the thread. She is also the person most likely to tell you to come back in two months having touched nothing.
Tia founded Erothots seven years ago doing brow and lash work, and she is fully qualified and insured. She set every standard on this page: mapping before removal, your approval before the thread, no wax on brows, and honest timelines for anyone growing them back. If something is not right, she wants to hear it directly.
A design appointment rather than a tidy. It starts with brow mapping, measuring the start, arch and tail against your own bone structure, marks the plan in white pencil, gets your approval, then threads to that plan and finishes with trimming and brushing.
Threading if you already have a shape you like and just need the regrowth cleared, at $25 for fifteen minutes. Shaping if the shape needs changing or rebuilding, if you have never had them properly designed, or if they have grown out badly, at $35 for thirty minutes. Most people book shaping once and then maintain with threading.
Shaping starts at $35 and the mapping is free. With a brow tint it is $55, with henna $80, with lamination $100 and with lamination and tint together $120. Booking two treatments together always costs less than booking them separately.
Measuring three points from a fixed reference on your face. The start sits on a vertical from the outer nostril, the arch on a line from the nostril through the outer edge of the iris, and the tail on a diagonal past the outer corner of the eye. It takes four minutes and it is free with every shaping appointment.
As even as your face allows, which is the honest answer. Nobody has a symmetrical face, so brows are sisters rather than twins. Removing hair from one side to force a match against the other is exactly how brows end up too thin, and we will not do it.
Thirty minutes for shaping on its own, forty five with a tint, sixty with henna and seventy five with lamination. Only about ten minutes of that is hair removal. The rest is consultation, mapping, approval and finishing.
We can map a plan and manage the growing out, which usually takes three to six months of leaving them completely alone. Tint, henna and lamination genuinely help in the meantime. What we cannot do is promise regrowth from follicles that years of plucking have permanently retired, and we will tell you which parts those are.
Brow hair runs on a cycle of roughly four to seven months, with only about a month of that spent actively growing, which is why it feels so slow. Expect three to six months for most of what is coming back to appear, provided you stop plucking entirely.
No, we do not wax brows at all. Wax adheres to skin as well as hair and removes a layer of it, on a small area of thin skin next to the eye, often on someone using retinol. Threading grips hair only, gives a more precise line, and is safe on skin where waxing is not.
You approve the map before anything is removed, which is designed to prevent this conversation entirely. If something still looks off before you leave, say so and we adjust it there and then. Once you are home, call within seven days and we will look at it without charge.
Yes, and it is how most people book it. Shaping with a tint is $55 and takes forty five minutes. It does need a patch test forty eight hours beforehand, so mention it when you enquire and we will arrange the test at the same time.
Every four to six weeks for maintenance, and that maintenance is threading at $25 rather than another shaping appointment. If you are growing brows out we book you further apart, every six to eight weeks, and take considerably less each time.
Tell us whether you are keeping your shape or changing it, and whether you are growing anything out. If you want a tint or henna added we will book the patch test at the same time.
